Preparations for Zara - My First Puppy

I've been waiting for yesterday to come for what seems like a hundred years. I guess this really happens when you are all out excited for something to happen, or in my case, for someone to come.

What's so special about yesterday? Yes, you got it. I fetched Zara, my first puppy, from its old home.
She's just 7 weeks now and I have been waiting for her since she was just 2 weeks.

During those times that I've waited, I spent my time(aside from working though) making preparations for her new home. The first thing I bought is her cage, shampoo and some dog biscuits. The cage is basically for her to sleep in at night and it's cheaper than those fancy and soft dog beds. But I have to buy one of those eventually.

I've been all over the internet looking for tutorials on how to train a puppy in housekeeping and that's where the dog biscuits came. Every time the puppy does something good you gave her a treat.

Anyway, on my next payday, I bought her 2 KG puppy food for only 300 Pesos. The store attendant told me to mix this with milk so that the puppy won't have a hard time eating.

One more thing, I've prepared some old newspapers for her to pee in, although this needs proper training and patience. YouTube had and will always be a great help.

I bought a doggy bone also for her to play with. I've read that puppies tend to bite everything they see so I can gave her this if she starts biting or chewing anything.

So, that's just it for today. I will post more updates of Zara soon.

Thanks for reading!
