Happy Feet 2

"No Pa, this is unfair.."

These are the exact words of Erik from Happy Feet 2 that touch my heart and makes me cry (sniff). It was kinda awkward because I had to remove my glasses (we'd watched it in 3D) just so I can wipe my tears. I was laughing to myself because no movie can make me cry, except for this one. The tears just flow on their own when Erik started singing. He's so cute and adorable and sings well too, just like his mom, Gloria.

So much for the drama. Happy Feet 2 is so far one of the best movies I've seen this year and I soooo love it. It depicts the teamwork and union of penguins and seal to save the whole nation of the former.

If you've seen Happy Feet 1, I'm sure you'll love Happy Feet 2 also.

Here's a trailer from Youtube:

She Likes It Tight

For some, small or limited area is difficult and uncomfortable, but for Zara, she likes it tight. She always tuck her body in cramped and narrow spaces. Sometimes she even fall asleep in those snug places.

Take a look:

By the way, did I mention that Zara loves massage too? (^_^)

10th Year Wedding Anniversary

The tenth year wedding occasion is the first of the major phase in anniversaries. This event is represented traditionally by tin or aluminum and diamond for modern times. So, whose anniversary was this? Nope it's not mine.

My boss and her hubby celebrated their tenth year anniversary last Thursday. Of course, me and my colleagues were invited and so dinner was free (boy do I love free dinner). Anyway, here are some of the pictures that were taken.

To my boss and her hubby, happy anniversary!

Breaking Dawn Part 1

I watched Breaking Dawn Part 1 this afternoon and I can't help but blog abut it. I'd finished reading the series last year and still I get excited about the movie. Although it lacks action, I can still say it was a fantastic movie. I like the part after the honeymoon where the bed frame got broken and feathers were everywhere (LOL). I got hooked up until the end. Honestly, until now, I can't help but think about it. Despite the fact that I'd read the novel, I'm still wondering how the story will end. That makes me excited for the part 2 which will be shown on November 2012.

For those who haven't watched it yet, get your ticket now and be tickled by Bella and Edward's love story.

Tidbits of the movie:

The movie tells of Bella and Edward's wedding, honeymoon to Isle Esme and later on her dangerous pregnancy. Edward was against it due to the fact that the baby is growing rapidly at an unnatural rate and may kill Bella so he suggested an abortion. Bella nonetheless was opposed to it.

Meanwhile, Jacob's Quileute wolf pack, not knowing what danger the unborn child may pose, plans to destroy it and kill Bella. Of course, Jacob was against it and choose the side of the vampires instead.

Soon Bella gave birth to the child and it almost cost her her life. Carlisle and Esme were not around that time because they were hunting. So in order to save her, Edward injected vampire venom in her heart. Still not satisfied, Edward bites Bella's neck, arms and legs to make sure the venom spread. This changes Bella from human to being a vampire.

In the meantime, the child was safe and Jacob almost immediately imprinted (the wolves pack term for love at first sight or making someone your soul mate) on her.

The last part of the movie shows Bella being changed to a vampire. Her skin changes to being smooth and pale. Her hair becomes longer and darker. All this time she was asleep. The last scene shows her opening her eyes and it revealed a crimson red iris.

Left Alone

For the first time, Zara was left alone at home.

I had no choice. We have to report to the office and there's no one to accompany her. We'd arranged a place for her to stay so as she won't be able to wander around the house (unattended).

When we got home this evening, we were startled when she greeted us with licks when we opened the door. Her playpen where we'd kept her was already open. What's more? There were pee everywhere. Luckily, there's no poop and the furnitures were still in place.

Tomorrow we have to leave her again but we have to make a secure place for her safety.

That's it for today. Will post more updates soon.

Mary Kay Free Facial

Yesterday, I got a free facial with 2 of my office mates from Mary Kay. It was a pampering as well as a learning experience. It was quite different though from what I anticipated. I assumed, or rather imagined us lying on our back with a specialist doing their thing on our face. Instead, we were made to do the procedures on our face.

First, the lady from Mary Kay gave us a container (something that looks like a paint palette), in which she put on a drop of each product that we need to use. Then she taught us how to apply and in what order as well as the proper fingers to do it (thanks to her I learned a few things about using my fingers on my face).

Everything was done by us as guided by the lady. After everything was finished, she discussed to us the marketing side of Mary Kay. I then assume that this free facial was already part of it.

According to Wiki, Mary Kay had been in the business since 1963 and was founded by Mary Kay Ash. Their business is similar to Avon Cosmetics except for the noticeable difference that Mary Kay is a little costly.

Nonetheless, thank you Mary Kay for that free facial and they do tell me to refer more girl friends so they can avail of it too.

Feel free to contact me if you are interested.

Feel good! Look good!

Do A Barrel Roll

This isn't anything about Zara. I was just amazed that I wanted to share it here.

Go to Google and type "DO A BARREL ROLL" without the quotes. You'll be surprised at what you'll see.

According to Google:

Today’s fun query, ‘do a barrel roll,’ was created by a Google software engineer with the primary goal of entertaining users — while showcasing the power of CSS3, a presentation feature of modern browsers. The “do a barrel roll” query, which causes the search page to spin, will remain in place for a while.”

After Effects

Zara's so tired from our stroll to the vet that she slept soundly in her bed. I can't help but take picture of her and post it here.

Welcome to dreamland.

Goodnight everyone!

Zara's First Vaccine

Today, I left Zara at home with a friend. I had to report to the office and I had no choice. Zara has to get used to it anyway.

After office, I got home immediately. Partly because I'm excited to see her and partly because I will bring her to the vet for her first vaccine.

The vet asks questions about her and later on weighed her. She weighed an amazing 2 kilogram. The vet says it's still normal in her age (7 weeks).

Now, the inevitable came. She was to be injected and unbelievably, I'm the one who's afraid. The vet told us to hold her while she prepare to inject Zara and I did so but I guess Zara can feel my tension so, she too, keeps on wriggling. After 2 tries, the vet told me to relax and hold Zara gently. I did as told and luckily, Zara did not flinch when the needle goes inside her skin.

I was worried why Zara did not feel anything, because she has no reaction at all. But, after a minute, she cries like a baby. I feel sorry for her and the vet just keeps reassuring her and massaging her back where the needle was injected.

After that painful encounter, Zara weakens. It's normal though, according to the vet.

The vet  then gives out instructions and soon after, Zara got her Health Card.

Here is some pictures of Zara when we got home from the clinic.

From the Rooftop

Exercise is good, not just for human, but for a puppy also.

Zara and I take a walk at the rooftop this afternoon. It was fun running back and forth with her. Later on, we sit and watch the view from the rooftop. Here's a picture of Zara from the rooftop. She seems to be admiring the view. :-)
